Swimming in the nearby slimming lake.  I didn't enjoy it but the kids still swam and had a great time.

ZOO

After the Rhoten Reunion Kent and I took the kids to the Portland Oregon Zoo.   The Zoo is always lots of fun.

The petting zoo was the highlight of the day for Derek.  He could have spent the whole day there.  He through a fit when we told him it was time to leave.

Had to throw this picture in just for laughs.

Derek fell on his head.  OUCH!  It won't be the last.  This kid is always falling or running into things.

Swimming Lessons

The three older kids all took swimming lesson the first part of August.  It was amazing how much they learned.  I was very impressed with the Finch boys.  They are wonderful teachers and my kids really enjoyed doing swimming lessons with them.

Bryce's first swimming lesson ever and he was awesome.  He is a little water bug.  Look at his back float.  Towards the end of the two week he could pretty much do it on his own.

Look at that face!  He is a great little kicker.
