So now that there is only a week left of summer I am back to babysitting. (Abby 4, Ben 2) I will have them the whole school year. (their mom is an all day kindergarten teacher.) This summer went by way to fast. Some of the highlight of the summer.
June 2008
-last day of school for Tanner
-Started watching Lily (she's 5 and a friend of the family. I only will be watching her for the summer. So that means a few more days.)
-Tanner started summer school (!loves it!)
-Clutch goes out in the pick-up (Kent orders the part to fix it himself.)
-swimming tons at a friends pool
- working on the yard; the fence is almost done.
-family reunion in Mattawa
July 2008
-Swimming lesson for Kenzie and Lily. (Bryce had a fit because he's not in swimming lesson. So I guess next year we will make sure we get him involved.)
-started a playset for the kids in the back yard
-Truck torn apart sitting in my spot in the garage(not so happy about that)
-Tanner's birthday pool party
-July 24th last day of summer school for Tanner
-Continued swimming at a friends pool. (kids are getting very tan)
-Always working in yard.
-garden finally grows and we have a few zucchini and cucumbers(tomatoes not doing so good)
-Kids play with camera and some how learn to reformat it and we loss a year of photos. Not a happy momma. I guess it serves me right I need to print my picture more often and not just leave them on the memory card.
August 2008
-Finished playset for the kids and added little rocks as a finishing touch.(What a totally relief for me. The kids love the play set and play on it for hours)

Kent built and designed this play structure
-Olympics start (Tanner stays up late begging to watch more. He love the swimming events.)
-Tanner learns to dive off the side of the pool just like Micheal Phelps. (Two week later he teaches himself to swim using strokes. NO more dogie paddling. The Olympics are very educational.)
-Kent had his one year review at Amtech (we can now get vacation time.)
-Truck still in garage. It is now getting put back together. I just pray I will be able to park in there before winter sets in.
The end of August we are planning a trip to Portland for my cousins mission farewell. I'll let you know how that goes. It's been a great summer and I'm not quite sure I'm ready for it to end. I guess I have no choice. It will end whether I want it to are not.
